Top Rope Climbing
Sender One LAX offers climbers some of the most versatile top rope climbing in the greater Los Angeles area. You can learn more about this popular form of climbing as well as Sender One’s top rope guidelines below. What is Top Rope Climbing?
In order to top rope climb, a rope is tied in to the climber’s harness and runs up to an anchor at the top of the intended route, then back down to a belayer at the base. This is a standard technique, and is regularly used for beginning level climbers at Sender One LAX. Because climbers are attached to a rope, there is less distance to fall should you lose your grip. For beginning climbers, climbing ropes can be held taut with limited slack to ensure a more comfortable climb.
Why Sender One LAX?
